This site is dedicated to the memory of Pamela Walsh.

Pamela Walsh, 47, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glen Ridge, N.J., Pam was the fourth generation to live in the family home in Bloomfield, where she was regarded as one of the most giving and caring people in town. From 1999, Pam served as secretary to Mayor John Bukowski, Mayor John Crecco and currently Mayor Raymond McCarthy. In addition, she was also secretary to the Bloomfield Business Advisory Board and Bloomfield Safety Council. In 2001, she was awarded the Lifesaver Medal of Honor for donating a kidney to her brother, Phil, who suffers from polycystic kidney disease. Battling inoperable lung cancer and being the eternal optimist, Pam reached out to Dr. Axel Rolle in Germany, who had developed revolutionary laser technology. She was the wife of Allen F. Walsh for 24 years; mother of Kelly Allyn and Megan Alyssa; daughter of Barbara Schmidt Wurm of Bloomfield, and the late Philip; sister of Philip Wurm and his wife, Tiffany, of Old Bridge, N.J., and aunt of Kaitlyn. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation or Hospice.
